Basic Definition and Structure
Collapsible panel boxes typically consist of a base (pallet), foldable side panels, and a top lid. The side panels are usually made up of four or six panels connected by hinges, allowing the box to be stacked in multiple layers and its height adjusted accordingly. When empty, the side panels can be quickly folded down, significantly reducing the box’s volume.
Base: Typically conforms to standard pallet dimensions (e.g., 1200×1000 mm) for convenient forklift operation, with materials selected to match the type of side panels.
Enclosure panels: foldable components with hinge connections for nail-free, quick assembly and disassembly;
Top cover: sealed and dustproof, with locking latches on some models, and stackable.
Wooden/plywood cage boxes: moderate cost and high load-bearing capacity (static load typically 3–5 tonnes), suitable for heavy machinery and export; however, fumigation is required, and weather resistance is only average.
Advantages
Space and Cost Optimization: When empty containers are folded, their volume is reduced to 1/5–1/10 of the original, lowering return transportation and warehousing costs.
Nail-free safety and quick assembly: The nail-free design reduces workplace injuries and allows assembly to be completed in just 20–30 seconds.
Interchangeable component repair: In the event of localized damage, there’s no need to scrap the entire container—simply replace the side panels or hinges to extend its service life.
Green circulation: Replaces single-use cardboard and wooden crates, with a reusable lifespan of hundreds to tens of thousands of cycles, aligning with environmental protection policies.
